2BIB — Be in Balance
Feature reference

Everything 2BIB does.

This is the complete feature set, written as a reference rather than a pitch — what each capability does, which platforms it runs on, and which plan it needs.

If you'd rather see the short version, the homepage covers the four things that matter most, and pricing lays out the plans side by side.

Logging

Six ways to get a meal into the log

Logging is the part of nutrition tracking people quit over, so 2BIB offers a route for every kind of food rather than forcing everything through one search box. A home-cooked dinner, a packaged snack, a restaurant plate and a protein shake each have a path that fits them.

Food database search

All plans

Search foods by name and log a serving in a couple of taps. Results are ranked so the entry you actually want comes first, rather than burying it under near-duplicates.

AI photo scan

All plans

Point the camera at a plate. AI vision identifies each item, estimates portions, and returns a per-item nutrition breakdown you can adjust before logging.

Nutrition label scan

All plans

Photograph a nutrition facts panel and OCR reads it exactly as printed — serving size, calories, macros and micronutrients — for packaged foods with no usable barcode.

Barcode scan

All plans

Scan a packaged food's barcode for an instant match against verified nutrition data. Barcode lookups are unlimited on every plan, including Free.

AI food creation by name

All plans

Type the name of something the database doesn't have and AI estimates its nutrition, then saves it as a food you can reuse. Counts against the Free plan's monthly AI allowance.

Manual custom foods

All plans

Enter calories, macros and serving size by hand for a recipe, a supplement, or anything else you want logged your way. No AI allowance used.

Meal types and dates

All plans

Every entry is tagged to breakfast, lunch, dinner or a snack, on a specific date. Servings are adjustable, and entries can be edited or deleted at any time — including for past days.

Recent foods

All plans

The foods you've logged most recently stay one tap away, which is how most repeat meals get logged in practice.

Favourites

All plans

Star the foods you eat constantly and pin them to their own list, independent of how recently you logged them.

Goal-based suggestions

All plans

A curated shortlist of foods matched to your goal type — protein-dense options for muscle building, high-satiety and high-fibre options for fat loss — surfaced in the app's "For You" section.

AI scanning

Scanning, and what happens after the scan

Photo, label and barcode scanning are covered in depth on the AI food scanner page. What follows is the behaviour around them — how results can be corrected, what the corrections are used for, and how the scan allowance works on each plan.

Per-item meal breakdown

All plans

A scanned plate is decomposed into its components — protein, starch, vegetables, sauce — each with its own estimated portion and nutrition, rather than one opaque total for the whole meal.

Portion adjustment before logging

All plans

Scan results are a starting point, not a commitment. Adjust quantities with plus/minus controls, drop items the AI shouldn't have included, then confirm.

Micronutrients from labels

All plans

Label scanning captures more than the macro headline — whatever the panel prints, including micronutrients, is read across into the entry.

Correction feedback loop

All plans

Corrections you make to a scan are recorded and used to improve accuracy for that food in future, so meals you eat regularly get recognised more reliably over time.

7-day unlimited scan trial

All plans

Every new account gets unlimited AI photo and label scans for its first 7 days, so the scanner can be judged on real use rather than a demo.

Monthly Free allowance

All plans

After the trial, the Free plan includes 7 AI scans per month, resetting on the 1st of each calendar month. Barcode lookups and database search stay unlimited throughout.

Unlimited AI scans

Pro

Pro removes the scan ceiling entirely, which is what makes photo-scanning every meal a viable default rather than something rationed across the month.

Targets & goals

Targets that move when you do

Most trackers ask for your details once, produce a calorie number, and never revisit it — which is a problem, because energy expenditure falls as you lose weight. 2BIB treats the target as something that gets revised against real weigh-ins.

If you want the numbers before signing up, the free TDEE calculator and macro calculator run the same arithmetic in the browser, with no account required.

TDEE from real body metrics

All plans

Your Total Daily Energy Expenditure is calculated from age, sex, height, weight and activity level, using one of five activity multipliers from sedentary through extra active — not a generic 2,000 kcal default.

Five goal types

Pro

Lose weight, gain weight, maintain weight, build muscle, or improve health. The goal changes both your targets and how progress is scored, rather than just relabelling the same numbers.

Daily calorie and macro targets

Pro

Each plan sets a daily calorie target plus protein, carb and fat targets in grams, derived from your TDEE and the direction of your goal.

Week-by-week action plan

Pro

An AI-generated plan breaks the goal into weekly milestones, each with a target weight, its own calorie and macro targets, and plain-English tips for that week.

Automatic recalibration

Pro

Logged weight is compared against the milestone you should have hit. When actual progress deviates from plan, upcoming weeks are adjusted automatically — no manual recalculation, and no plan that quietly goes stale.

Target date and goal weight

Pro

Set a goal weight and a date and the plan is built backwards from there, at a rate the milestones can actually support.

Daily tracking

Food, macros, hydration and weight in one view

Calories alone don't describe a day. The home screen puts intake, macro split, hydration and weight on one surface, in the same order on web and mobile, so the whole day is legible in a single scroll.

Calorie ring

All plans

Today's intake against today's target, at the top of the home screen, on both web and mobile.

Macro rings

All plans

Protein, carbs and fat tracked separately against their own gram targets, so hitting calories with the wrong split is visible rather than hidden.

Water logging

All plans

Log water through the day against a daily target derived from body weight — roughly 35 ml per kilogram — so the target scales with you instead of being a flat eight glasses.

Drink tracking with 50+ presets

All plans

More than fifty preset drinks across nine categories — coffee, tea, juice, milk, soda, sports, energy, alcohol and other — each logged with its own calories and macros.

Hydration coefficients

All plans

Each drink carries a hydration coefficient, so a coffee counts toward hydration at its real water value rather than either full credit or none at all.

Weight logging

All plans

Record weigh-ins in kilograms or pounds, with full history and the ability to delete a bad entry. Weight is also the input that drives goal recalibration.

Wellness Score

One number for how the day actually went

The Wellness Score is a daily 0–100 composite across four components. It's goal-aware: the same intake scores differently depending on whether you're cutting or building, because hitting calories from below means something different in each case.

Calories — 30 points

All plans

Awarded for landing in the right band for your goal. Weight-loss goals score full marks at or under target and lose points for going over; muscle-building goals penalise undereating instead.

Macros — 30 points

All plans

Ten points each for protein, carbs and fat against their targets, scored in the direction your goal cares about.

Hydration — 25 points

All plans

Water plus the hydration-adjusted contribution of everything else you drank, measured against your body-weight-derived target.

Logging consistency — 15 points

All plans

Points for actually logging meals, scaling up to three or more. A perfect day you didn't record isn't a tracked day.

Daily band and trend

All plans

The composite score maps to a band from "Just Starting" up to "Excellent", with 80 and above counting as a great day, and the score is charted over time alongside your other trends.

Automation

The logging you shouldn't have to do

Some entries are the same every day, and some days you simply forget. Both are automation problems rather than discipline problems, so 2BIB handles them directly — reminders are timed from your own logging history, and recurring foods log themselves.

Auto-daily logs

Pro

Mark a food as automatic and it is pre-logged every day at the meal type you chose — the morning coffee, the same breakfast, the daily supplement. Managed from one place, and removable at any time.

Lunchtime reminder

Mobile

A local reminder timed to your usual lunch, derived from the median of your recent lunch logs rather than a fixed hour you'd have to configure. It cancels itself the moment a meal is logged.

Reminder action buttons

Mobile

Scan Meal and Add Meal act directly from the notification, so logging lunch doesn't require opening the app and navigating to the right screen first.

Goal celebrations

Mobile

A once-per-day notification when you hit your protein or calorie goal — sent as it happens, from the meal-log path, not as a next-day summary.

Home screen widget

iOS

Today's calories and macros against their goals, on the iOS home screen, updated as you log so the day's state is readable without opening the app.

History

Past days, and the shape they make

Tracking is only useful over weeks. Every logged day stays reconstructable in full, and the same data is charted as trends — the view that tells you whether a plateau is real or just a heavy weekend.

Day view

All plans

Any past day reconstructed in full — every entry, by meal, with that day's totals against that day's targets.

Trends view

All plans

Calories and macros charted over time, alongside weight and Wellness Score, so a bad week is visible as a shape rather than a set of numbers you have to hold in your head.

7-day history

All plans

The Free plan keeps the last seven days of history available — enough to see the current week, and to judge whether tracking is working for you.

Full history

Pro

Pro removes the seven-day window, so months of logging stay queryable and long-run trends actually have data behind them.

Weight and hydration history

All plans

Weigh-ins, water and drinks each keep their own history and date-range views, independent of the food log.

Health platforms

Two-way sync with Apple Health and Health Connect

Nutrition data is more useful next to activity and weight data than it is alone. The iOS app syncs in both directions with Apple Health today — Health Connect arrives with the Android app — and every metric is a switch you control rather than an all-or-nothing connection.

Apple Health and Health Connect

Mobile

2BIB connects to HealthKit on iOS today, and to Health Connect when the Android app ships, so nutrition data lives alongside the rest of your health record instead of stranded in one app.

Read steps and active energy

Mobile

Steps and active calories burned are read in from the platform, giving activity context next to what you ate.

Read body weight

Mobile

Weigh-ins recorded by a connected smart scale can flow into 2BIB, where they feed weight trends and goal recalibration without a second manual entry.

Write nutrition, water and weight out

Mobile

Meals, water and weigh-ins logged in 2BIB are written back to the platform, so other apps reading your health data see them too.

Per-metric control

Mobile

Every direction is a separate switch. Sync steps in but not weight, write nutrition out but keep water local — or turn the whole integration off — with the last sync time always visible.

Teams

White-label accounts for coaches and brands

Group plans turn 2BIB into your own branded nutrition platform. Clients see your name, logo and colours; you see their logs. Nothing to build, and no per-seat setup work beyond sharing a link.

Group accounts

Groups

Coaches, clinics and wellness brands create a group, then manage their clients' nutrition inside it as a single account rather than a spreadsheet of separate logins.

Invite-code joining

Groups

Members join through a shareable invite link. They sign up, land in the group automatically, and have Pro unlocked without any per-seat admin work.

Pro for every member

Groups

Group membership grants Pro features to everyone in it, regardless of their personal plan, for as long as the group's subscription is active.

White-label branding

Groups

A custom group name, logo and primary colour are applied across the whole interface — web and mobile — so clients see your brand rather than ours.

Member dashboards

Groups

Admins can open any member's nutrition history, individual food logs and weight progress, which is the view a coach actually needs before a check-in.

Daily activity and weight check-ins

Groups

A roll-up of who logged today and how members' weigh-ins are trending, so the clients who have gone quiet are visible without opening each profile.

Admin notifications

Groups

A feed of group activity for admins, with a mark-all-seen action, so new joins and check-ins don't have to be discovered by chance.

Roles and member management

Groups

Separate admin and member roles with appropriate permissions, plus promoting, demoting and removing members, and a seat limit tied to the group's plan.

Platforms

Where it runs, and what you can change

One account, one data set, everywhere you use it. The phone app adds what only a phone can do — camera scanning, notifications, a widget, health-store sync — while the web app keeps the room a desktop screen offers.

Web app

Web

The full product in the browser at app.2bib.com, with a desktop sidebar and multi-column layouts on large screens, not a stretched phone view.

iOS app

iOS

A native app on the App Store with direct camera access for scanning, local notifications, a home screen widget, and Apple Health sync.

Android app

Mobile

Coming soon, with the same feature set as iOS — Health Connect sync, camera scanning and Google Play billing. Until it ships, Android users have the full web app.

One account across devices

All plans

Web and mobile share one account and one data set, so a meal scanned on your phone is already there when you open the browser.

Metric and imperial units

All plans

Kilograms and centimetres or pounds and inches, switched with one setting and applied everywhere, including goals and weight history.

Dark and light themes

All plans

Both themes are first-class across web and mobile, not an afterthought bolted onto a light-only design.

Guided onboarding

All plans

A short setup flow collects the body metrics targets depend on, so the first day of logging already has real numbers to log against.

Account deletion

All plans

A documented route to delete your account and its data, reachable from the app and from 2bib.com/delete-account.
